Point 4: Pont Street

You are at the Pont major de la Vila, the oldest bridge that crosses the stream in the town of Arbúcies.

From here you have a good view of the Roquer manor house. The Roquers, who appear as early as the 14th century, were one of the most important families in Arbúcies throughout the Middle and Modern Ages. The current large building was erected at the beginning of the 20th century after a fire destroyed the previous one and its current appearance is due to a major reform in the 1940s. It is surrounded by a magnificent garden, the Roquer Dendrological Garden, which with 2 .5 ha is home to more than 150 species of trees from all over the world, among which stands out a century-old magnolia declared a monumental tree by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

On either side you have the Town Hall of the Town, located in Can Delfí (an old mill), and on the other side, making a chamfer, Can Xacris, built in the middle of the 20th century and one of the most monumental buildings in the town.

If you enter Plaça Pepet Pol, just to the right, we encourage you to discover the Screenless Film by Pepet de Pujals and the Tona Boy.
