Point 1: Plaça de la Vila

We are in the La Gabella building, home to the Ethnological Museum of Montseny, as well as the Tourist Office of the Natural Park and tourist information point. La Gabella is a 17th century building, which since 1985 has housed a center for the dissemination, conservation and research of Montsenyen's cultural heritage, which shows us through its exhibition rooms the cultural evolution of the people who have inhabited the Montseny throughout history. In addition, it is the future headquarters of the Center for Outreach and Research of the Batllia de Montsoriu, within the project Tourism-cultural product Viscounty of Cabrera, which links thirteen municipalities in the region.

Very close we have Plaça de la Vila, nerve center of all Arbucien life, in the middle of which we find the Arbre de la Llibertat. This spectacular banana tree was planted around 1870 as a symbol of freedom and has its own history, which we know thanks to Víctor Balaguer.
