Point 7: Camprodon Street

Before returning to Plaça de la Vila, take a look at Carrer de Francesc Camprodon, popularly known as "la Carretera". It is, without any doubt, the main axis of the town, where many of the town's shops, services and banking institutions are located. Since its opening in the 19th century, it has been a symbol of modernity and progress and is where we can find remarkable buildings, such as the modernist houses of the Granja Royal (no. 35) or Can Bosch (no. 59), which had been owned of Vicenç Bosch, owner of the well-known Anís del Mono liquor factory. Along the street we also find some establishments with history such as Casino Arbucienc, part of the cultural and leisure life of the modern town since the beginning of the 20th century; also the Fonda de Can Torres, with a long history, or some of the town's patisseries, where legend has it that gingerbread was born.

We hope you enjoyed the route and we encourage you to discover new corners of the Vall d’Arbúcies. See you soon!
