Welcome to the village of Arbúcies, located in the Montseny's Natural Park, Biosphere Reserve. The town is presided over by the majestic peak of Les Agudes and surrounded by lush forests full of legends.

With this walk we will show you some of the most charming corners of the town center.

SELF-GUIDED ROUTE OF SOURCES OF PLUMP

A treasure of water and history.

During the early years of the 20th century, significant urban planning was carried out where one of the objectives of the town council was to improve hygiene and public services. The city council therefore decided to facilitate access to water and provide security by having this service within the urban core. It is in this context that the sources of Bomba appear.

SELF-GUIDED ROUTE SANTIAGO RUSIÑOL

Santiago Rusiñol's itinerary aims to show the past and present of the town of Arbúcies.

Between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, prominent artists passed through Arbúcies, such as Santiago Rusiñol, who throughout his life lived experiences that linked him with the toen of Arbúcies, specifically between 1925 and 1930. A Rusiñol, around 70 years old and with his heañth seriously damaged, decides not to move too far from Barcelona and continue painting landscapes.

Although Rusiñol's artistic connection with Arbúcies was essentially pictorical, there are indications, in the literary aspect, that one of his last publications, a libretto of aphorisms entitles Maxims an Bad Thoughts (1927), was written, if not in its entirety a large part, in Arbúcies,
