Point 1: Pump fountain of Sant Hilari

During the early years of the 20th century, significant urban planning took place, including street urbanization, bridge construction, and water drainage. Regarding hygiene and the improvement of public services, municipal washing facilities were built in each neighborhood and public fountains with a manual pumping system for well water. These fountains are known in Arbúcies as Pump Fountains.

These heritage elements are more than just fountains: they are witnesses of a bygone era and a vital part of local history, included in the Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.

The pump fountain is located in front of house number 11 on one of the narrowest streets in the village, known as carrer Sant Hilari, which gives its name to the fountain.
